Language Course / Occupational Training
A basic requirement that every foreign doctor who wants to work in Germany must meet is proof of adequate knowledge of German.
With the aim of standardizing the requirements, the Conference of Health Ministers (GMK) agreed on key points for the necessary German language skills in June 2014. Among other things, it was agreed that foreign doctors must have at least the general language level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (GER). In addition, a special technical language (FSP) test must be completed, which should be based on level C1 of the GER.
